Gayle, as membership chair, is responsible for maintaining and growing the branch’s membership and ensuring members remain engaged and in good standing.
Key responsibilities typically include:
The Membership Chair manages the recruitment of new members, guiding them through the application process and helping them understand the benefits and responsibilities of Legion membership. They maintain accurate membership records, including renewals, transfers, and contact information, and ensure dues are collected and processed in accordance with Dominion Command requirements.
They also act as a point of contact for member engagement—welcoming new members, encouraging participation in branch events, and helping reconnect inactive members. In many branches, the Membership Chair works closely with the executive to support retention strategies and identify ways to strengthen member involvement and satisfaction.
This is Gayle's first year on the executive and is extremely excited to be involved and continue her contributions in her new role.
